I have great compassion for the human experience. I have a myriad of experiences that contribute to that compassion.
I have held my License in Clinical Counseling since 2012 and have worked in various settings to include: hospital, in-home, in-office, school-based, youth development centers, group home, and via Telehealth.
Prior to becoming a counselor, I retired from the Army National Guard on active duty after 20+ years of service. I was first enlisted and achieved the rank of Sergeant and then attended Officer Candidate School to become an Officer. My career was primarily in Human Resources and Recruiting. I served as both detachment and battalion commanders and I served during Operation Iraqi Freedom 2006-2007 stationed at COB Speicher in Tikrit, Iraq.
I served as the Kentucky Counseling Association President 2016-2017 and have served on counseling delegations with the American Counseling Association and People
To People International in China and Brazil. I and earned my PhD at the University of the Cumberlands in Leadership with emphasis in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2020.
